Jasmine Engineering provided Cost Estimate support for this municipal project as part of the City of Austin’s Prime Engineering Team as they developed preliminary Schematic Design alternatives by providing options of relative cost for design alternative components. Services included developing Cost Estimates of probable construction cost based on the Engineering Team’s initial draft report and finalizing Cost Estimate for the Final Preliminary Engineering Report.

Public Safety Headquarters, San Antonio, TX

This new facility serves as the headquarters for both the COSA Police and Fire Departments, replacing their former offices at various locations. The Design / Build with Bridging Documents delivery method was used. This project won the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2012 Best in Commercial Real Estate award for “Best Municipal Project” and achieved LEED Silver Certification.

Austin Convention Center Expansion, Austin, TX

Jasmine Engineering was part of the City of Austin’s team for Owner Representative Services for this municipal project. The project included expansion and renovation of existing municipal convention center. Jasmine Engineering had responsibility for the team’s Project Management services related to engineering systems. Engineering systems included: Structural, Civil, HVAC, Special Ventilation, Secondary Power Distribution, Utilities, Lighting, Security, Fire Alarm, and Fire Protection. One of the challenges was to provide an acoustically sound building with great indoor air quality. This project was completed on time and under budget.
