The Forty, University of Texas- Austin Men’s and Women’s Basketball Arena

Jasmine Engineering is providing Mechanical and Plumbing Commissioning Services for the University of Texas- Austin Men’s and Women’s Basketball Arena – The Forty. The Forty Arena is pursing LEED Silver V4 Certification and is approximately 475,000 SF, with five floor levels that will host other professional and amateur sports, entertainment, and cultural events. On an annual basis, the Arena will host approximately 30 NCAA basketball games and 200 concerts, tradeshows, and other events. The Arena is currently programmed to have seating for approximately 10,000 people for UT Basketball games, 13,500 seats for end-stage concerts, and 15,000 seats for center-stage events. The Arena’s project cost is projected at $ 338 Million and is scheduled to reach substantial completion in January of 2022.

Jasmine Engineering provided MEP Engineering design services for this municipal baseball stadium, owned and operated by the City of San Antonio.  Services featured fast-track design and fast-track construction (six months). The facilities design and construction included the Baseball Playing Field, Concourse Area with 6,000 Seats, Practice Areas, Team Locker Rooms, Laundries, Public Toilets, Press Facilities, Box Suites, Offices, Concourse Concession Areas, Maintenance Building, Grill/Arcade Building, Administration Building, Commissary Building, and Parking Areas.

Project Management services were performed as part of a multidisciplinary team for this municipal project involving the new construction of San Antonio’s newest multipurpose sports and meeting facility.  Jasmine Engineering was responsible for the team’s project management services related to engineering systems, including HVAC, Special Ventilation, Secondary Power Distribution, Utilities, Lighting, Security, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection, and Plumbing.  Services were provided concurrently with the A/E design phases of the project beginning with the Schematic Design Phase and continuing through completion of construction.
